GeMi - compatibility (2)

More GeMiness! ;)

Hu Ge and Yang Mi have matching clothes. Don't their jacket look alike? ;P

same bracelet too!! ;D

Hu Ge and Yang Mi's Fate:

  • Yang Mi was very excited and happy to work again with Hu Ge in Chinese Paladin 3. She said that her heart beats faster every time she sees him.
  • Hu Ge said that he was the one who taught Yang Mi to use her seductive eyes to seduce men in Liao Zhai Zhi Yi.
  • They are both part of the 4 leading young actors (四大小生) and 4 little flowers (四小花旦) of the 80s generation and both received the highest number of votes in their respective category.
  • Yang Mi was asked to be the female lead for the game Fantasy Zhu Xian but she refused because she was already endorsing another game: Tian Xia Er. This lead to some unhapiness on Tang Ren Management and there were some negative comment on Yang Mi, saying that she was endorsing a competing game. Fortunately, Hu Ge defended her on his blog.
  • Both works too hard! They must take a rest, they look so tired! They have a minimum of 4 series and 2 movies in 2010-2011. It's too much, too hard-working!

Most pitiful character: Xi Yao

A lot of characters suffered in Chinese Paladin 3. Just like Zi Xuan who saw her loved-one die 2 times, and waited for him 200 years or Long Kui who was locked in the tower 1000 years and hoped to meet her brother again but the most pitiful of all.

Xi Yao always wants the best for Fei Peng. She thinks for him, supports him and simply loves him deeply. Fei Peng often come to see her to have a chat but they only talks about Fei Peng. Xi Yao understand Fei Peng very well but the opposite doesn't apply. Xi Yao's love was like a one-sided love, Maybe Fei Peng do have some feelings for Xi Yao but she clearly doesn't take the first place in his heart. For him, finding an opponent to fight is the most important thing. Zi Xuan's love for Chang Qing was at least returned.

Talking about one-sided love, we also have a Chong Lou who loves Zi Xuan but she only loves Chang Qing. Compared to Xi Yao, Chong Lou is lucky. He can still see Zi Xuan if he wants. She is not dead yet (but I believe she'll die soon since she was aging very fast at the end). In Xi Yao's case, she can't see Fei Peng, she can't be with him. That's why she created Xue Jian to accompany him. She gave Xue Jian her face hoping that Fei Peng's reincarnation can remember her...

Another sad thing is that Fei Peng is gone forever, he'll never return unlike Gu Liu Fang who always fall for the same woman: Zi Xuan after 2 reincarnations. Same things with Long Kui. She waited for her brother, Long Yang. Of course, Jing Tian ang Long Yang don't have the same personalities but he accepted her as his sister. She can still live with him but Xi Yao can't. She must stay on Heaven alone and after all, Jing Tian already have Xue Jian.

I really pity Xi Yao...her love for Fei Peng was deep but wasn't returned. She just bring fake hopes, She knew that Fei Peng won't be back and that they couldn't be together that's why she made Xue Jian. Although she knows it's impossible, she continues to believe in it...

GeMi - compatibility (1)

I think everybody have noticed that I love the GeMi pairing! Here is a list of
Hu Ge and Yang Mi's Fate:
  • They have paired in two series: Liao Zhai Zhi Yi & Chinese Paladin 3.
  • Both are Virgo.
  • They went to Egypt together along with Liu Shi Shi and Yuan Hong.
  • They both stared in a series where they go back in time: The Myth & Jade Palace Lock Heart.
  • In the series they go back in time, they had the same name: Chuan. Hu Ge's character's name was Yi Xiao Chuan and Yang Mi's was Luo Qing Chuan.
  • During a Chinese Paladin 3 promotion, Yang Mi was asked if Chang Qing and Jing Tian (Wallace and Hu Ge's character) existed in real life, who would she choose to be her partner. She eliminated both of them but took time to clarify at the end that Hu Ge isn't like Jing Tian in real life...
Virgo and Virgo love compatibility:
Both of them are constrained in the sexual relations and consider love as a basis for something more important - partnership in life. They are responsible, sensitive, intelligent, and take love seriously. They also share passions of the mind, and will never bore each other. The requirements in a bedroom are not too great and do not cause many complaints and criticism. Both the intense affair and the marriage are possible in case these perfectionists curb their instincts for finding fault. There will probably also be a continual contest over who is leader, but they have too much else in common for that to matter.

What I don't like about Chinese Paladin 3?

Though I really love Chinese Paladin 3, it's still not the perfect series. The love stories and sides stories are strong but the main storyline quite fail. The whole saving world thingy, Xie Jian Xian (played by Gordon Lau), the 5 pearls, are a little bit crappy.

Let's just take Qing Er (Lin Ye Ping and Zi Xuan's daughter) as example. It was told that Zi Xuan (played by Tiffany Tang) used the Water Pearl to seal Qing Er so that she could maintain her youth and wait for Lin Ye Ping (played by Wallace Huo)'s reincarnation and now since they need the 5 pearls to seal the tower so that demons can't escape, Chan Qing (played by Wallace Huo) was forced to choose between his daughter or the world saving. It was hard for Chan Qing and Zi Xuan, they finally decided to sacrifice their Qing Er but suddenly Qing Er was saved by the lotus flower o-o Can't they just say it that Qing Er won't need to sarifice?!

Another weird thing is that everybody died after gaving Jing Tian (played by Hu Ge) their powers. The first time I watched Chinese Paladin 3, I didn't even know that they died o-o The worst is that Jing Tian didn't even react to Xue Jian (played by Yang Mi)'s death at all...instead, he went to see Zi Xuan...

Plus, they make Xie Jian Xian too strong. It was like nothing can kill him so we have the poor Jing Tian who always loose in those bets with Xie Jian Xian. From the moment where Xie Jian Xian get out of the box, it's getting weird. Chang Qing who try to make the world peaceful by torturing himself...Mao Mao (played by Lam Chi Chung) exchanging his flesh for food...Don't get me wrong, I love Mao Mao and I was sad when he died. It was a tragic scene but still...exchanging his flesh for foods...it's kind of lame.

I really like the sides stories and the characters but it's the main story that bother me. Everything with Xie Jian Xian and all. When they were just travelling to get the 5 pearls, It was okay but when it comes to defeat Xie Jian Xian...it was a little weak.

Jing Tian and Xue Jian's end?

At the end of Chinese Paladin 3, we saw that Jing Tian (played by Hu Ge) asked the Heaven King to revive people who get killed by Xie Jian Xian (played by Gordon Lau) but the Heaven King said that this wish was too big. It touched the 5 other realms, the Heaven King can't have control on it. If Jing Tian want his wish to be fulfilled, he must accept to have his life shortened. Jing Tian accepted the deal but after that, when he was with Xue Jian (played by Yang Mi), he yelled to the sky: "I don't want to leave!" So will he die young leaving Xue Jian of not?

I choose to believe that no, he won't die young. He can't be separated with Xue Jian like that. Remeber that pair of jade brooches that had? The one that make them stuck together the first time they met? When Xi Yao (played by Yang Mi) wanted to give one of the brooch to Fei Peng (played by Hu Ge) and kept one for herself, she said that if those two jade brooches were put together, the man and the woman who possess it shall be together forever. In episode 36, Jing Tian and Xue Jian put their jade brooch together to make a wish, so it means that they must be together forever? It's impossible that Jing Tian die and leave Xue Jian alone!

Some people said that at the very end, we can see Jing Tian falling down and Xue Jian trying to catch him but I think it was a hug...well I hope it was a hug.I think after yelling to the sky that he doesn't want to leave, Jing Tian turned to Xue Jian and suddenly hug her because he really doesn't want to leave her.

I really hope that Jing Tian won't die young and live with Xue Jian happily. I think they have a child in the game. It's not fair that Jing Tian didn't get rewarded for killing Xie Jian Xian but instead he must have his life shortened! The Heaven King promised to grant Jing Tian one wish but now it's only Jing Tian sharing his lifes with the supposed dead people! It's like the Heaven King just didn't fulfill his wish.

Tang Xue Jian VS Lin Yue Ru (1)

I am currently rewatching Chinese Paladin 1 to try to understand the character more and find out why I didn't like both Zhao Ling Er (played by Crystal Liu) and Lin Yue Ru (played by Ady An) while they seems to have many fans. I'm only at episode 10 of my rewatching so this post is only a comparison of Lin Yue Ru and Tang Xue Jian (played by Yang Mi, in Chinese Paladin 3) at the beginning of the series, meaning I'll only consider the moments where Xue Jian was still the rich girl from the Tang's manor.

I think I am starting to know why I love Xue Jian that much and don't like Yue Ru even if those two characters are alike in some ways. For now, what I see of Yue Ru is that she's a spoiled girl who think she's the best and she's a way more stubborn than Xue Jian. Xue Jian is also a rich spoiled girl but she have cute and innocent sides. I can see that Xue Jian is less stubborn than Yue Ru, at least she cares sometimes while Yue Ru simply do her "I'm the best, I'm always right" look. Just look at their maid. Yue Ru's one is just afraid of her like hell while Xue Jian's maid have a very good relationship with her. Xue Jian sometimes listen to people and can be lovely while Yue Ru just doesn't listen to anybody. Like when she was encountering a monster with Xiao Yao (played by Hu Ge), he told her to attack the monster but she didn't do it because she didn't want listen to Xiao Yao. Fortunately that she finally decided to listen! Maybe it's the fact that Yue Ru doesn't like her father while Xue Jian just loves her grandfather very much...but I always feel that Xue Jian is nicer. It may be because of the acting and the look of the actress too. Yang Mi's cute and young look just make her cute, innocent and lovely.

Interesting facts - Hu Ge and Yang Mi kissed too hard...

Remember that scene in episode 3 where Jing Tian (played by Hu Ge) and Xue Jian (played by Yang Mi)'s first kiss happened. Actually, the filming of that scene wasn't easy. Hu Ge and Yang Mi worked very hard...lol

In that scene, Jing Tian and Xue Jian were surrounded by zombies. They ran everywhere trying to find a way to escape and accidently bumped into each other. Jing Tian profited to kiss Xue Jian so that they could hold their breath (zombies detect humans by their breaths).

The problem was that Hu Ge felt too embarrassed to kiss Yang Mi in front of so many people so he decided to fake the kiss. He turned his head in a specific angle to pretend that they were kissing...and the result of it? Yang Mi yelled out that her nose was bleeding and there were tears in her eyes LOL Hu Ge panicked and and clarified that didn't want to hit her, he just wanted to fake the kiss but Yang Mi was still smiling (with tears but still...she wasn't angry or wtv). She joked that this proof that her nose isn't fake. After the incident, Hu Ge was a little ashamed and it took them more than 10 takes to complete de scene! I wonder how many time did they actually kiss each other o-o Anyways, it was so cute even if it was a kiss fail!
